Custom Balloon Arches in Chicago

How can I plan balloon arches in Chicago?

The Pretty Party Boutique plans balloon arches in Chicago. Make the entrance part of the event. A custom balloon arch can welcome guests, frame a photo moment or give a celebration a recognizable focal point. We design the shape and scale around the space, then coordinate balloon styling with the rentals and installation your event needs.

Types of balloon arches

An arch creates an opening or frame, usually with a defined supporting shape. A garland is a flexible arrangement that follows a backdrop, railing or other approved installation point. If you want guests to walk beneath the design, start with an arch; if you want to dress one side of a panel, a garland may be the better fit.

Organic arches

Mixed balloon sizes and an asymmetrical outline create a softer, more sculptural frame. The design can feel restrained in a tonal palette or expressive with contrasting colors. Leave enough visual space for the entrance or centerpiece rather than making the balloons compete with it.

Traditional arches

A repeating pattern and consistent shape offer a more structured look. Traditional arches can make school colors or a company palette easy to recognize at a distance. Share the opening width and ceiling clearance so we can discuss proportions and support.

Entry arches

An entrance installation should welcome people without narrowing accessible routes or blocking doors, exit signage or staff circulation. Send a photo showing the full doorway and any nearby fixtures. Outdoor placements require a separate discussion of weather, anchoring and a backup location.

Photo backdrop arches

For portraits, position the arch so guests can stand comfortably within the frame. We can discuss panels, marquee pieces and signage behind or beside the balloons. Camera distance and the number of people in each photo matter just as much as the arch width.

Corporate balloon arches

For a conference, company celebration or opening, we work from your event brief rather than a party theme. Provide brand colors, signage artwork and the venue’s access rules. Special load-in times, insurance paperwork and any return visit need confirmation before booking.

Birthday balloon arches

Build the arch around the person being celebrated: a favorite palette, a milestone number or a more understated adult-party setting. Coordinate the cake table and photo area so guests are not queuing through the main entrance to take pictures.

How pricing works

Arch quotes depend on dimensions, density, color treatment, structural needs, rental additions and site logistics. Delivery, installation and any agreed breakdown also affect the scope. Send reference photos and a budget range; we can discuss which design choices to prioritize without promising an unverified starting price.

Delivery & setup information

Share the venue contact, loading location, stairs or elevator details, installation window and event finish time. We confirm the agreed access and installation plan with your booking. If rental structures need collecting, clarify the collection window and who will provide access after the celebration.

Frequently asked questions

Is a balloon arch the same as a garland?

No. An arch frames an opening; a garland can drape or travel along another feature. Some organic designs blur the visual distinction, so send a photo and describe whether guests need to walk through it.

Can an arch stand outdoors?

Outdoor options depend on the site, anchoring permissions and weather exposure. Heat, sunlight and wind can change balloon appearance and performance. Discuss a sheltered or indoor backup; no outdoor lifespan is guaranteed.

Is the backdrop included with the arch?

Only the items listed in your proposal are included. Ask us to quote panels, flower walls, signage or marquee pieces alongside the balloon installation.
