Give a Garfield Park gathering a defined center
The City of Aurora identifies Garfield Park at 825 Sheffer Road and lists a pavilion agreement alongside its park information. Its mix of recreation uses makes a focused welcome or recognition area more useful than decorations scattered across the grounds. Send the pavilion confirmation and a marked photograph of the intended display position so the proposal distinguishes your event space from routes used by players, spectators and other park visitors.
Keep the ball-field side working
Garfield Park includes the Dolan and Andrews little league fields. If your celebration accompanies a team event, decide whether photographs happen before play, after awards or during the meal. A display facing the gathering area can serve that sequence without becoming an obstacle along a spectator route. Ask the park contact where vendor unloading and freestanding décor are acceptable; a pavilion reservation is not evidence that field-side installation is authorized.
Design for a pavilion, not an indoor banquet room
The city's feature list includes picnic tables, shaded grass and portable restroom facilities. Build the guest plan around those actual amenities before adding rental furniture or a large backdrop. Identify a stable display location, retain access to tables and agree on an indoor alternative elsewhere if the outdoor plan becomes unsuitable. The balloon plan should specify what can be removed promptly, rather than depending on trees or pavilion posts for unapproved attachments.

Frequently asked questions
Which Aurora location details should accompany my request?
For Garfield Park, include 825 Sheffer Road, the reserved pavilion information and an on-site contact. Aurora has multiple recreation locations, so a park name or city-only address is not enough to establish the unloading point, reserved space or permission for the proposed installation.
Does the listed pavilion mean balloons are automatically permitted?
No. The city publishes a pavilion agreement and Parks Department contact, but those listings do not approve a particular balloon structure. Have the operator review the proposed footprint, support method and removal plan before committing to a park-based design.
