Build the DeSitter plan around access and presentation

The DeSitter Room is on the second floor of the Recreation Center at the Park District of La Grange. Its rental page describes flexible layouts, a projection screen and a kitchen option, and instructs applicants to complete rental applications in person at 536 East Avenue. It also says to wait for approval before making further plans. Treat that approval as the point at which the balloon dimensions, furniture arrangement and actual vendor-access route can be finalized.

Account for the trip to the second floor

Ask the venue which route vendors should use to reach the DeSitter Room and what dimensions or access restrictions apply along it. Do not assume an assembled backdrop will fit simply because it fits inside the event room. Share those details before selecting larger rental pieces or balloon supports. Arrange an on-site contact who can direct deliveries without leaving arriving guests to navigate around equipment in the building's shared circulation.

Protect the seminar or slideshow sightline

The room's projection screen can be important for training, recognition videos or a family slideshow. Put it on the floor plan before deciding which wall should carry the main decorative feature. For a seated luncheon, compare views from the tables rather than only from the room entrance. If food service will use the kitchen option, keep the serving route distinct from the photo queue and confirm what your actual booking includes.

Frequently asked questions

Can I finalize DeSitter decor while my application is pending?

You can discuss a concept, but the park district says approval depends on staffing and scheduled programs and advises waiting for its approval call before further plans. Keep dimensions and delivery commitments provisional until the room and access details are confirmed.

Is this the same district as La Grange Park?

The checked DeSitter information is from the Park District of La Grange at 536 East Avenue. Use that exact operator and your venue confirmation when planning. A similarly named community or district should not be substituted on applications or delivery instructions.
