Coordinate the mansion and tent as separate event environments
The county visitor bureau's Lehmann Mansion listing gives a verified local alternative to assuming every Lake Villa event is a park picnic. Its description includes both the mansion and a heated, air-conditioned four-season tent. That makes circulation between spaces an important question for the venue team. A reception entrance, networking area and portrait location can work together, but their footprints and attachment methods should be approved for the particular contracted spaces.
Let the venue explain the transition between spaces
Ask whether your event uses the mansion, the tent or both, and obtain the actual guest route. A balloon display should help guests understand where to check in or gather without constricting the connection between activities. For a corporate reception, keep a clear approach to the registration point; for a wedding-related celebration, separate portrait waiting space from arriving guests. Do not infer room access from the visitor bureau's general property description.
Respect an established venue's surfaces and operations
The visitor listing describes Lehmann Mansion as a renovated historic landmark. Propose freestanding décor for the operator's review rather than planning attachments to architectural features. A tent setting also needs specific approval for supports and placement; climate control does not make its structure an attachment point. Coordinate the balloon concept with the venue's table plan, catering sequence and any other rentals so the event looks intentional without disturbing service or the building's character.

Frequently asked questions
Is Lehmann Mansion only relevant to weddings?
No. Visit Lake County also describes cocktail receptions, corporate events and private parties. That supports considering the property for different event formats, but availability, contracted spaces and décor permission must still be confirmed directly with the venue for your particular gathering.
Does a tent booking automatically include the mansion?
Do not assume it does. The visitor bureau describes both environments, not your individual contract. Ask the operator which spaces and routes are included, then provide that arrangement for the balloon plan. A public venue listing is not a statement of booking inclusions.
