Two Oak Forest addresses, three different room scales

The Conference Room and Oak Room share the district's 15601 S. Central Avenue address, while Don Gorman Recreation Center is at 4412 Henry Street. The Oak Room is listed as 33 by 34 feet and Don Gorman's room as 38 by 43 feet. Those dimensions provide a useful starting point for a corporate meeting, shower or anniversary layout, but doors, furniture and service stations still need to be shown before the display footprint is finalized.

Protect the smaller meeting room's working space

For a Conference Room event, start with the seating and presentation requirements rather than a full-width balloon wall. A compact branded or celebratory feature may leave more useful room for attendees, refreshments and meeting materials. Ask whether the planned backdrop would hide a screen, board or power connection. The published capacity is not a guarantee that every decorative arrangement fits comfortably with a seated audience.

Match delivery instructions to the selected facility

If the gathering moves from the Oak Room to Don Gorman Recreation Center, update every supplier's address as well as the floor plan. Both are district rentals, but they are not rooms in the same building. Send the revised entrance photograph and collection contact with the change. That prevents a caterer or decorator from unloading on Central Avenue for an event that has moved to Henry Street.

Frequently asked questions

Are the Oak Room and Don Gorman room in the same building?

No. The district lists the Oak Room at 15601 S. Central Avenue and Don Gorman Recreation Center at 4412 Henry Street. Use the exact facility and room name on the decoration inquiry, invitations and supplier instructions, especially if the booking changes.

Can the room dimensions determine the arch size on their own?

They help, but they do not show doors, exits, catering tables or the approved seating arrangement. Send a current room photograph and layout. The installation should be sized to the remaining usable space, not simply to the largest wall measurement published for the room.
