Plan around Centennial Park's recreation activity

The Blue Island Park District identifies Centennial Park at 1732 Vermont Street and directs hosts to its facility-rental information. Its ball diamonds make sports-related celebrations a natural planning context, but their presence does not mean a social gathering includes field access. Establish which part of the park your event may use and whether games or other activities will be nearby. That answer determines whether a balloon welcome belongs beside a gathering area or needs a more contained position.

Separate the team-photo area from play

For a league recognition event, build the photo sequence into the event schedule rather than placing a display where players circulate throughout a game. Ask the park district where a freestanding feature may sit relative to the diamonds and spectator movement. Keep equipment bags, awards and refreshments from sharing the same narrow approach. Team colors can unite the display without requiring decor on fences, backstops or other park fixtures.

Let the walking path remain a through-route

Centennial's walking path is part of the park's everyday use. For a reunion or employee picnic, locate guest check-in and any photo queue inside your approved gathering area, not across that route. Consider how older relatives or guests carrying food will approach tables. Include the path and nearby recreation features in site photos so delivery access and display placement can be assessed without assuming the whole park is private.

Frequently asked questions

Is Centennial Park's address enough for a delivery request?

Use 1732 Vermont Street as the park address, then add the specific reserved facility and a marked meeting point. A park with multiple ball diamonds needs more precise instructions than a street address to distinguish a social-event setup from a sports arrival.

Does a balloon booking reserve Centennial Park facilities?

No. The Blue Island Park District manages its facility-rental process. Confirm your reservation and any decoration conditions directly with it, then share the approved area. Decor planning cannot establish exclusive use of a diamond, path or neighboring gathering space.
