Resolve residency before choosing the Community Center

Burr Ridge Park District's rental page makes the applicant an active part of the event: that person handles communications, setup requests and payments and is expected to attend throughout the rental. This matters when an adult child, office administrator or planner is arranging a celebration for someone else. Identify the eligible host early, and route venue questions through that person so the decoration plan and rental agreement do not develop on separate tracks.

Keep the applicant involved in design approvals

A decorator's drawing should reach the district through the booking contact who is responsible for setup requests. Include the display dimensions, furniture movement and any additional event rentals rather than describing everything simply as decorations. For a family anniversary, clarify who will be present during installation and removal. The host's required attendance should not be replaced by an assumption that a vendor can act as the renter.

Do not substitute an unavailable shelter

The checked rental page says the Harvester Park Wetland shelter is unavailable until further notice. Avoid building an outdoor proposal around that shelter without a new confirmation from the district. If the intended celebration moves indoors or to a privately operated venue, revisit the whole arrangement: backdrop height, guest photo space and food-service circulation may differ substantially from the original picnic concept.

Frequently asked questions

Can a nonresident relative book the Burr Ridge Community Center?

The district states that private rentals are for households within its corporate boundaries that pay district property taxes, and excludes individuals outside those boundaries. Ask the district about the proposed applicant before paying for event services. Do not use another person's address to bypass eligibility.

Is Harvester Park's Wetland shelter currently a confirmed option?

No availability is promised here. The rental page checked for this guide marks that shelter unavailable until further notice. Obtain an updated answer directly from the park district; otherwise choose and confirm another location before finalizing an outdoor balloon design.
