Match the display to the activity package

Carol Stream Park District lists shelter rentals alongside specialized outdoor options. Its Simkus rental combines a fenced playground with a short artificial-turf field; Coral Cove offers both a party area and private water-park rentals. These choices change where a display belongs. A photograph beside a reception table has different circulation needs from one near active play or a pool entrance. Ask which portion is exclusive and which amenities are separately charged or shared.

Protect the usable surface at Simkus

The district describes a rubber play surface and artificial turf designed for mobility. If this is your selected setting, request a support method appropriate to those surfaces rather than assuming stakes can be driven into the ground. Preserve the route between the playground and gathering area. For a multi-generation company outing, put the photo display where people can participate without crossing a game or standing in the playground's active space.

Distinguish pool access from the party area

The outdoor rental page notes that the Simkus hourly rental does not include water-park admission. It also describes different Coral Cove rental options. Keep invitations, wristband arrangements and the decoration brief aligned with the package actually purchased. A welcome installation can help explain arrival, but should not imply exclusive pool access. Ask staff where a dry staging point is allowed and how decor will be removed without obstructing aquatic operations.

Frequently asked questions

Do all Carol Stream rental shelters have power?

The district says some shelters include electricity, not all. If your event also needs lighting, a presentation screen or other powered rentals, verify the selected shelter's supply and permitted use. Balloon design should not be used to conceal or complicate the power route.

Can a mini-golf outing use the same layout as a park picnic?

Not without checking the package and course circulation. The district describes private mini-golf rentals with the course and Coyote Hideout. Plan the celebration point around the reserved gathering space, leaving play routes clear rather than distributing decor throughout the course.
