Respect Lake Katherine's explicit balloon prohibition
Lake Katherine's rental terms say balloons are not permitted at any time and make the renter responsible for informing guests. The document also distinguishes its clubhouse, auditorium and outdoor event settings, with restrictions on attaching items to building surfaces. For a wedding-related celebration, corporate meeting or anniversary, these rules materially change the creative brief. The appropriate response is to remove balloons from the Lake Katherine plan, not to relocate them to another corner of the property.
Develop a venue-compatible alternative
Ask the venue which non-balloon focal treatments, signs or other event rentals it will approve for the booked room. Present proposed materials and support methods before committing to a look. The published terms restrict taping and tacking on several surfaces, so an alternative is not automatically permitted just because it contains no balloons. A restrained presentation backdrop or table-centered approach can be discussed without promising inventory or a mounting method the venue has not accepted.
Prevent well-intended guest decorations
Include the no-balloon requirement in instructions to hosts, assistants and anyone bringing gifts or surprise decorations. The terms place that communication responsibility on the renter. If a separate balloon celebration is important, choose a different, independently approved venue for it rather than assuming a parking area or outdoor ceremony setting is exempt. Keep the two plans clearly separated by address and permission so vendors and guests receive consistent instructions.

Frequently asked questions
Can you install a balloon arch at Lake Katherine?
Not under the published rental terms reviewed for this page. They explicitly prohibit balloons at any time. We should discuss permitted non-balloon styling instead, or a separate event at another confirmed venue whose operator has approved the proposed balloon installation.
Does the rule apply only inside the rental buildings?
The document's wording says balloons are not permitted at any time, and it instructs renters to inform guests. Do not assume an outdoor exception. Ask Lake Katherine about acceptable alternative decorations and attachment methods, while keeping balloons out of the proposed site plan.
