Separate a Commons event from a Memorial Park District inquiry
The village describes Hillside Commons as a baseball and softball setting with a playground and open space, also used for Summer Nights Concerts and other village activities. Eisenhower Park, at 700 Speechley Boulevard, is separately identified as part of Memorial Park District, with a pool, gym and community center among its amenities. Those distinctions change whom to ask and what to design; neither description automatically establishes a private-event rental package.
Keep Commons displays separate from active recreation
A celebration connected to baseball or softball needs a defined photograph and recognition area away from play. Ask the responsible organizer which Commons footprint is approved, and mark the display on a plan showing spectator movement and playground access. If the occasion is part of a village event, use that event's vendor instructions. A public concert's visible staging arrangement is not evidence that a private party can reproduce it on another date.
Take Eisenhower questions to the named district
For a gathering involving Eisenhower Park's community center or gym, start with Memorial Park District rather than assuming the village handles the booking. Ask which specific space can accommodate your proposed use, then distinguish the seated reception from any recreation activity. Keep balloon supports and extra furniture within the approved event footprint. The listed pool is another amenity to discuss separately, not a presumed inclusion with a room or park arrangement.

Frequently asked questions
Does Hillside's directory mean the village operates Eisenhower Park?
No. The village's own page identifies Eisenhower Park at 700 Speechley Boulevard as part of Memorial Park District. Direct event-use and decoration questions to the named operator, then share the approved space and contact with the decorator before planning delivery.
Can a Summer Nights photograph establish our private-event layout?
It can provide inspiration, but not permission or a reservation. The village identifies the Commons as a setting for its public activities. Your private gathering needs its own confirmed area and operator instructions, including any restrictions related to sports, other visitors and vendor access.
