Choose among Munster's different park-rental categories
Munster Parks and Recreation lists Community Park shelters on Calumet Avenue, Centennial Park's East and West shelters on North Centennial Drive, and White Oak Park on White Oak Avenue. It also marks neighborhood parks as available only to Munster residents. Those distinctions influence both eligibility and the event brief. Confirm the correct rental category with the park office before commissioning a display or assuming a neighborhood park follows the same process as a larger shelter.
Include the shelter designation, not just the park
Community Park's listing distinguishes Lions Club and Rotary shelters, while Centennial Park distinguishes East and West. A vendor arriving with only a park name may still be missing the most important location detail. Provide the approved shelter name, a site pin and the operator's unloading instructions. For a company picnic, place the branded welcome display where it identifies your group without implying that neighboring shelters or recreational areas are included in the reservation.
Resolve resident eligibility before choosing the setting
The town explicitly restricts its neighborhood-park rental category to Munster residents. If the organizer is a business, association or out-of-town family member, ask which spaces and applicant arrangements are available rather than assuming someone else's local mailing address settles eligibility. Once the operator confirms the venue, develop the décor around its actual covered or indoor footprint. The Social Center and an outdoor shelter should receive different circulation and weather plans.

Frequently asked questions
Should our request say Munster, Indiana explicitly?
Yes. Include the state, full address and shelter or room name. The town's published rental locations are in Munster, IN, and several have more than one shelter. A complete destination is necessary before travel, unloading and installation eligibility can be assessed.
Can a nonresident assume every Munster park is rentable?
No. The town labels neighborhood parks as available only to Munster residents, while listing other rental categories separately. Ask the park office about the intended venue and applicant before committing to a location-specific display or sending guests an unconfirmed park address.
