Plan around the booked room's kitchen access and layout

The village locates the Recreation Center at 8901 W. 123rd Street and lists kitchen access only with a Community Room rental. The Prairie Room should therefore not inherit a Community Room catering plan. The rental page also links a room diagram and regulations labeled 2024 and 2016. Use those documents to prepare questions, then confirm current requirements with Recreation and Parks instead of treating older linked rules as the final word.

Reserve the kitchen route before the photo footprint

For a Community Room reception, mark the kitchen approach, serving furniture and guest seating on the room diagram before positioning balloons. A striking photo area is less useful if its queue blocks meal service. If the Prairie Room is booked instead, ask staff how refreshments can be handled without assuming kitchen access. Discuss any additional rental furniture as part of the same layout so it does not duplicate or crowd the venue's supplied pieces.

Keep gazebo styling separate from an indoor fallback

The Village Green Gazebo appears as its own rental option, not as an automatic extension of a Recreation Center room. If it is your main gathering place, get the approved outdoor footprint and ask about support methods before planning an arch. If a room is intended as a weather alternative, confirm that reservation separately. The village says rental time includes setup and cleanup, so both concepts need a removal schedule inside their approved access periods.

Frequently asked questions

Which 123rd Street address belongs on the delivery brief?

For the Recreation Center rooms, the rental page gives 8901 W. 123rd Street. The website also lists Kaptur Administrative Center at 8999 West 123rd Street, which is not the same destination. Add the exact room and approved vendor entrance to avoid an administrative-office delivery.

Can every Palos Park room rental use the kitchen?

The village specifically limits included kitchen access to the Community Room. Confirm the current arrangement before planning a catered event in the Prairie Room or another space. Also ask for current regulations: the page links documents labeled with older years, so reconfirm requirements for your event.
