Build a Harter Park plan around the walk-in approach
Sugar Grove Park District lists Harter Community Park at 1601 Esker Drive with a picnic shelter, sports areas, a paved walking path and gardens. Its directions use the Harter Middle School entrance and parking area. Confirm the current approved unloading arrangement rather than assuming a vehicle can reach the shelter. The amount and size of equipment should fit the real path from permitted parking to the gathering area.
Keep vehicles and overnight storage out of the design assumptions
The district's published park rules prohibit motorized vehicles on park property and overnight storage of personal property, and state that parks close at dusk. Plan delivery and removal accordingly, with an agreed carry route and same-event collection arrangement. If a supplier proposes a shortcut across the grounds, obtain explicit direction from the district rather than assuming the presence of a shelter means there is vehicle access.
Do not treat the Prairie Building as an automatic backup
The district describes the Prairie Building as home to the STARS adult recreation program, operating throughout the year. Although its listing includes a meeting room and kitchen, those amenities do not establish private-event availability. If weather backup is essential to your outdoor celebration, ask what space can actually be reserved. Do not build a balloon plan around moving indoors to a programmed facility without a separate agreement.

Frequently asked questions
Can equipment be delivered directly beside Harter's shelter?
Do not assume that. The district's directions describe parking at the school lot and walking to the park, while its rules restrict motorized vehicles on park property. Ask for the authorized unloading location before selecting bulky décor or rental equipment.
Can park décor remain for collection the following morning?
Sugar Grove Park District's posted rules prohibit overnight storage of personal property and describe dusk closing. Arrange removal within the confirmed event access period unless the district expressly authorizes another arrangement for your specific booking.
